Liverpool played Arsenal in their latest pre-season friendly in America, beating them 2-1.
It was a great performance from the Reds who are beginning to show glimpses of the football that they will play under new manager Arne Slot.
The first goal came from a beautiful build-up started from the back with goalkeeper Kelleher playing a long pass towards Diogo Jota.
Jota showed great strength and technique, holding off Gabriel and cushioning a header into the path of Harvey Elliott. Elliott then played a stunning defence splitting pass for Mo Salah, who cruised past the Arsenal defenders before slotting the ball home to score Liverpool’s opener
And not long after, Elliott once again showcased his playmaking abilities with an incredible lobbed pass from the edge of the box, finding Fabio Carvalho behind the Arsenal defenders. Carvalho struck the ball first-time past the keeper to double Liverpool’s lead.

Arsenal scored one back through Kai Havertz, but it was not enough as the Merseyside club came out victorious.
