Rangers were so close to causing a Europa League upset against Benfica, but Rafa Silva’s goal in the second leg of their Round of 16 tie was enough to send the Portuguese side into the quarter-finals.
The Scottish Premiership side had kept their opponents at bay until after the hour mark, but a superb counter attack from a Rangers corner saw Silva smash home.
It would take a while to be awarded after the assistant flagged for offside, VAR reversing that particular decision.
After a blistering counter and lengthy VAR review, Rafa Silva puts Benfica ahead at Ibrox ??#UEL
