Leicester, Ipswich and Southampton are all interested in signing Tottenham midfielder Oliver Skipp according to reports.

Spurs are looking to sell a number of players this summer and they are reportedly prepared to let Skipp go as he searches for more regular first team football.

Ange Postecoglou’s side have already signed midfielders Archie Gray and Lucas Bergvall which means Skipp has fallen further down the pecking order.

Leicester, Ipswich and Southampton interested in Skipp

The 23-year-old has been at the club since the age of eight and made 24 appearances for Spurs last season, but The Telegraph have reported the north London club are prepared to let the midfielder go with all three promoted clubs interested in securing his services.

Leicester lost star man Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall to Chelsea and a move to the King Power would see him link up with former team-mate Harry Winks, whilst Ipswich and Southampton are looking to strengthen their squads in an attempt to beat the drop.

Skipp is attracting interest from three Premier League clubs.

Skipp has three years remaining on his contract and has made 106 appearances for Spurs, scoring just once, whilst he had a successful loan spell at Norwich during the 2020/2021 season.

The midfielder isn’t the only player who could be leaving the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with Emerson Royal and Richarlison possibly on their way out as well.

Spurs are in talks with AC Milan over the transfer of Royal, whilst Saudi side Al-Ahli have expressed interest in Richarlison, although they are yet to make a bid for the Brazilian.

In terms of incomings Postecoglou’s side appear to be making some progress in their pursuit of Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke who scored 19 Premier League goals last season.

Fabrizio Romano has stated that talks are underway with the Cherries and Solanke has given the green light to the move.

Three Premier League clubs are showing interest in Liverpool talent Ben Doak as the Reds are keen to loan the winger out for the 2024/25 campaign.

Last season was a disaster for the 18-year-old as the youngster suffered a meniscus injury which caused him to miss the majority of the campaign. This came off the back of a very positive pre-season for Doak and many Liverpool fans felt he was ready to make a big impact on the term.

Doak would only play in five matches for Liverpool last season as a result of his setback and the Merseyside club feel that a loan move would suit the player’s development ahead of the 2024/25 campaign getting underway.

According to Football Insider, Brentford, Leicester City and Southampton have all registered an interest in the Liverpool star, however, none of the Premier League clubs have yet to make a move.

Experience in England’s top flight would go a long way in helping the Scottish star cement a place in Liverpool’s starting 11 and the 18-year-old will have an eye on the right-wing role at Anfield given the uncertain future of Mohamed Salah.

This season is crucial to Ben Doak’s Liverpool future

Salah’s contract at Liverpool expires in 2025, which means that this season could be the Egyptian’s last at Anfield, which frees up the right-wing role for the 2025/26 campaign. Should Doak impress at a Premier League club this term, that would put the youngster in prime position to take over from the superstar.

Liverpool fans have already been impressed with what they have seen from Doak so far and being only 18, there is a lot more room for development, which will excite the Anfield faithful.

The Merseyside club need to make sure they send the winger to a club where he will get regular minutes as a successful loan spell could save the Reds a lot of money next summer should they need to replace Salah.

Liverpool have turned down an offer from Southampton for promising young midfielder Fabio Carvalho.

The bid, reportedly worth £15 million, was deemed insufficient by the Reds, who are holding out for a higher offer.

Carvalho joined Liverpool in 2022 from Fulham for £5 million plus add-ons, arriving with a high reputation. However, his debut season at Anfield saw limited playing time, with the midfielder making only 13 Premier League appearances, starting just four, and scoring two goals.

In the following summer, Carvalho was sent on loan. He initially joined RB Leipzig but struggled for game time, making only nine appearances.

His fortunes improved with a subsequent loan to Hull City, where he made a significant impact, scoring nine goals and providing two assists in 20 appearances.

Impressive pre-season performances under Arne Slot

Despite a lacklustre start to his Liverpool career under Jürgen Klopp, Carvalho’s prospects appear brighter under new manager Arne Slot.

He has been a standout performer in pre-season, scoring against Arsenal in a 2-1 victory and following up with a spectacular goal against Manchester United.

His recent performances have caught the attention of several clubs including Southampton.

Liverpool reject bid from Southampton

Southampton manager Russell Martin has openly expressed interest in signing Carvalho. However, Liverpool remain firm on their stance.

According to David Ornstein of The Athletic, the £15 million bid from Southampton was rejected, with Liverpool not willing to entertain another loan move and expecting a higher offer for a permanent transfer.

While Carvalho has been a key player in pre-season, the competition for regular playing time will intensify with the returns of Luis Diaz, Darwin Nunez, and Cody Gakpo.

This raises questions about Carvalho’s future at Merseyside, as he may seek more consistent first-team opportunities elsewhere.

The remaining pre-season games will likely offer more insight into Slot’s plans for Carvalho and the club’s attacking options. Whether Liverpool decides to keep the talented Portuguese midfielder, loan him out again, or sell him permanently, remains to be seen.

Liverpool have placed a price tag of around €30m on Fabio Carvalho having rejected a bid from Southampton for the 21-year-old talent.

The Reds turned down a €17.5m proposal from the Saints in recent days as the Merseyside club hope to receive between €25m/€30m if they are to part ways with the youngster.

Sources have told CaughtOffside that Southampton are expected to return with a new offer in the range of €20m/€21m as they are keen to add Carvalho to their squad ahead of their Premier League return.

Liverpool are only open to permanent deals for the forward and are willing to sell the Portuguese star if their asking price is matched.

Sources have said that Carvalho’s agents have informed Liverpool that the 21-year-old wishes to stay on Merseyside for the 2024/25 campaign having proved his worth during the Reds’ pre-season tour of the United States.

Arne Slot impressed by Fabio Carvalho during Liverpool’s pre-season tour

Liverpool have been without several of their big stars during pre-season and that has allowed others to try and impress their new manager Arne Slot. Carvalho is one name that has succeeded in doing so having started all three of the Merseyside club’s pre-season tour matches in the United States.

The Portuguese star shined in games against Arsenal and Manchester United over the past week, with the 21-year-old scoring in both.

Slot has admitted to being impressed by Carvalho’s performances in America but it remains to be seen the role the forward will have now that the likes of Luis Diaz, Cody Gakpo and Darwin Nunez have returned to Liverpool.

The coming weeks are very important for the future of Carvalho and his development as it remains to be seen if clubs are willing to match Liverpool’s asking price for their talented forward.

Southampton boss Russell Martin has spoken on their pursuit of Liverpool’s Fabio Carvalho and said he’s a player the Saints like a lot.

Following promotion back to the Premier League last season Southampton have been busy in the market making a number of additions to their squad to give them the best chance of survival.

Among their new signings are striker Ben Brereton Diaz, and midfielders Flynn Downes and Adam Lallana.

Southampton want to sign Carvalho

The Athletic’s David Ornstein reported on Sunday that Liverpool had rejected an offer from Southampton worth up to £15m for Carvalho and were unwilling to sanction another loan deal for the 21-year-old.

The report adds Carvalho wants to be a regular starter and any permanent offers will need to be higher than what the Saints offered.

In an interview with Sky Sports, Martin addressed Southampton’s pursuit of Carvalho and said he was a player the club like a lot.

Southampton have had a bid rejected for Carvalho.

“He is a player we have liked for a while. We spoke in January but couldn’t get it done. He is a player I admire and like,” he said.

It’s also thought Southampton are keeping an eye on Celtic midfielder Matt O’Riley if they are unable to land the Portuguese.

Carvalho, who joined the Reds from Fulham in 2022 has impressed for Liverpool on their pre-season tour of America and opened the scoring in the 3-0 over Manchester United on Saturday.

He’s provided 29 goal contributions in 56 Championship appearances for both Fulham and Hull, but has only made 21 appearances for the Anfield outfit, in which he’s managed just three goals.

The attacking midfielder has so far failed to nail down a regular starting spot at Anfield and has had loan spells at RB Leipzig and Hull City where he impressed with nine goals and two assists from 20 appearances as Hull narrowly missed out on the play-offs in the last campaign.

Liverpool have reportedly rejected an opening offer from Southampton for attacking midfielder Fabio Carvalho.

According to The Athletic’s David Ornstein, the Reds have turned down a bid worth £15 million from the Saints but could be open to selling the 21-year-old should a higher bid be made.

Unsurprisingly, Carvalho, who has had two loan spells since his move to Anfield, wants to be a regular starter — a status Russell Martin can give him.

Fabio Carvalho could leave Liverpool to join Southampton.

From Liverpool’s point of view, there is also little desire to sanction another loan move for the Portuguese playmaker — suggesting the Reds’ preference is a permanent sale — perhaps a little surprising considering Carvalho’s pre-season form which included opening the scoring against rivals Manchester United earlier on Sunday.

Will Southampton sign Fabio Carvalho?

Having clinched promotion back to the Premier League at the end of last season after beating Leeds United 1-0 in the Championship Play-Off final at Wembley, the Saints are in a more privileged financial position. Earning £140 million from their promotion win (F365), the Saints are now able to spend more freely than some clubs, like Leeds, who have been forced to sell their best players, including Archie Gray to Spurs and Crysencio Summerville to West Ham.

Southampton have made 12 signings already, including Adam Lallana on a free transfer from Brighton and Ben Brereton Diaz from Villarreal totalling around £50 million (TM), but next up on their wishlist is Carvalho.

Although their new Premier League rivals have turned down an initial £15 million bid, Southampton will feel they have the flexibility to improve their offer and given their openness to allowing the 21-year-old to depart, fans can probably expect at least one more bid to go in before the former Fulham star’s immediate future is resolved.

Arsenal are yet to decide the future of Aaron Ramsdale.

The 26-year-old goalkeeper has fallen down the Gunners’ pecking order after the club agreed to sign David Raya from Brentford. Although initially bringing the Spaniard in on loan at the start of last season, the London-based giants have since made the keeper’s switch permanent in a deal worth £27 million (Sky Sports).

Arsenal open to Aaron Ramsdale loan

And with Ramsdale unlikely to accept a back-up role again next season, there is an expectation that the Stoke-born shot-stopper will leave the Emirates. Although strongly linked with Newcastle United, Ramsdale has yet to see a formal offer made, and according to Football Insider, this could force Arsenal into agreeing to a late loan deal instead.

Aaron Ramsdale has lost his Arsenal place to David Raya.

Newly promoted Southampton and Nottingham Forest are believed to be the two sides most interested in a loan for Ramsdale.

Mikel Arteta, who said Ramsdale had ‘earned respect and admiration’ (GOAL) following his performance against Brentford at the end of last season, is believed to be targeting another goalkeeper to provide competition for 28-year-old Raya.

Feyenoord’s Justin Bijlow is believed to be one of the shortlisted names on the club’s list but the Gunners are likely to face competition from league rivals Liverpool (Mirror).

As for Ramsdale, a move to Southampton or Nottingham Forest would see him become either club’s number one at the expense of Alex McCarthy and Matt Turner, respectively.

Arsenal have set a £30million asking price for the transfer of goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale as he attracts interest from Nottingham Forest and Southampton this summer, CaughtOffside understands.

Sources close to the situation have informed CaughtOffside that Ramsdale is expected to leave Arsenal this summer as he looks to get back to playing regularly after falling down the pecking order in Mikel Arteta’s side last season, with David Raya now the undisputed number one for the Gunners.

As things stand, it is understood that although Forest and Southampton are interested in Ramsdale, they would not be willing to pay Arsenal’s £30m asking price for the England international, so it remains to be seen if the north London giants will end up lowering their demands, or if anyone else perhaps joins the race and indicates they’d be prepared to pay up.

Aaron Ramsdale to leave Arsenal?

Meanwhile, Arsenal are still interested in signing Wolves ‘keeper Daniel Bentley as their new backup ‘keeper, with talks ongoing despite Arsenal previously seeing two bids rejected for the 31-year-old.

Ramsdale transfer exit to pave the way for Bentley to Arsenal deal?

It is felt that Arsenal and Wolves could end up agreeing a fee under £1million for Bentley, though he could also be offered a new deal to stay at Molineux as he’s also considered a reliable backup ‘keeper there too.

Arsenal will want to ensure they’re not in too much trouble if Raya gets injured or suspended at some point, so bringing in an experienced figure like Bentley could be a useful option.

At the same time, though, Karl Hein has shown some promise in pre-season so far, and some AFC supporters will surely feel the 22-year-old could be good enough to serve as the club’s second choice, without the need for a new signing in that position, even if Bentley should come pretty cheap.

Serie A side Torino have beaten Wolves in the race to sign striker Che Adams this summer, according to reports.

Adams became a free agent following the expiry of his Southampton contract in June.

However, he won’t have to wait long for his latest destination, with BBC Sport reporting that the 28-year-old has agreed on a contract ‘in principle’ with Torino, with a medical set for Monday.

The report also states that Torino have beaten Wolves to Adams’ signature, despite the Midlands club tracking the striker for a number of months.

A 33-time international for Scotland — including playing three times for the Tartan Army at Euro 2024 this summer — Adams heads to Italy off the back of a 2023/24 campaign in which he notched 17 goals and six assists in 46 appearances across all competitions, helping Southampton return to the Premier League via the playoffs.

Adams scored 48 times in 191 appearances overall during his time at Southampton, while he also counts Birmingham and Sheffield United among his former clubs.

Southampton are yet to sign a direct replacement for Adams but will likely retain Adam Armstrong as their starting striker after the 27-year-old registered 24 goals and 13 assists across all competitions last season.

Saints are also reportedly on the verge of re-signing Danny Ings from West Ham United, with the 31-year-old scoring 46 goals during his previous spell at St. Mary’s Stadium.
