Uruguay went down a man in the final minutes of the second half in a contest that’s 0-0 after Nahitan Nández’s tackle on Real Madrid forward Rodrygo. The foul was initially ruled a yellow card, but VAR called the referee to review the play.

Following the review, the referee gave Nández a straight red card. Uruguay will now finish the contest with 10 men, looking to hold onto the scoreless result and force a penalty kick shootout.

The Arne Slot era at Liverpool has officially started and the new manager is working towards making a competitive team at Anfield, just like his predecessor Jurgen Klopp.

One of Madrid’s rising talents in recent years, Rodrygo scored 10 goals in 34 La Liga games to help Los Blancos win the double. While despite getting limited playing opportunities, Guler has shown he has the potential to reach the top.

The 23-year-old Brazilian scored ten goals in La Liga and five goals in the Champions League last season helping Los Blancos win both the trophies in a highly successful campaign.

In light of this, Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo claimed that Liverpool are the club leading the race for the Madrid star should he leave the Spanish capital as Mohamed Salah’s time at Anfield is coming to an end with his contract expiring in 2025.

A report from Marca has also linked Premier League champions Man City to Rodrygo, stating that the Manchester club are keeping an eye on his situation at Real Madrid should anything arise over the summer months.
