Leeds have agreed a deal with Crystal Palace to sign winger Jesurun Rak-Sakyi on loan but fellow Championship clubs Sheffield United and Hull City remain in the race according to Sky Sports.

The 21-year-old made just eight appearances in all competitions for the Eagles last season as they enjoyed a resurgence over the second half of the campaign under Oliver Glasner and secured a top half finish.

Rak-Sakyi, who is under contract until 2027 was left out of the Palace squad for their tour pre-season tour of America and it’s almost certain his short term future lies away from Selhurst Park.

Leeds agree terms for Rak-Sakyi loan

Rak-Sakyi has been at Palace since the age of 16 and he’s come through the ranks to feature for the first team.

However, regular minutes in the first team have been few and far between for the winger and with the signings of Daichi Kamada and Ismaila Sarr it pushes him further down the pecking order.

Palace reportedly want to send Rak-Sakyi out on loan to play regular football and have earmarked the Championship as their preferred destination.

Sky Sports have reported that Leeds, Sheffield United and Hull City have all agreed season long loan deals with Palace, but the player has yet to decide who he wants to join.

Jesurun Rak-Sakyi in action for Crystal Palace.
Rak-Sakyi is expected to spend the coming season on loan in the Championship.

Leeds are in need of reinforcements in the wide areas after losing Crysencio Summerville to West Ham and Daniel Farke will desperately be hoping he can guide the club to promotion next season, having lost to Southampton in the play-off final.

Although Rak-Sakyi hasn’t played in the Championship before he had a successful loan spell with Charlton in League One during the 2022/2023 campaign, scoring 15 goals and providing eight assists in 43 appearances.

The Whites have got money to spend following the sales of Summerville and Archie Gray, but it’s important they spend it wisely.

A move for Rak-Sakyi makes sense as it’s financially viable and it’s one of those low risk high reward type of moves.

Leeds host Portsmouth on Saturday lunchtime in their opening game of the season and they will very much hope it’s second time lucky in regards to promotion.

Leicester City are working on a shock deal to sign Wilfried Zaha on a season long loan from Galatasaray according to The Athletic.

Zaha left Crystal Palace on a free transfer last summer and joined Turkish side Galatasaray despite having offers from Saudi Arabia and Italy.

The 31-year-old scored ten league goals in 30 appearances as Galatasaray won the Turkish league, but it appears he could be on the move after just one season.

Leicester working on deal for Zaha

In a surprising turn of events The Athletic have reported that newly promoted Leicester are working on a deal to bring the Ivory Coast international back to the Premier League.

The report adds that Zaha was left out of the squad to face Hatayspor on Friday as the winger is in negotiations over a return to the Premier League.

If the Foxes can pull this deal off the Ivorian will become the club’s fifth summer signing and third attacking reinforcement after Bobby De Cordova Reid and Abdul Fatawu.

Zaha is attracting interest from Crystal Palace and Leicester.

The Athletic add that Zaha’s former club Palace had also looked into the possibility of resigning him and have held talks with the Turkish champions.

If Palace were to complete a deal for Zaha it would be the winger’s third spell at Selhurst Park and he’s scored 90 goals and provided 62 assists in 458 games for the Eagles.

Zaha still has plenty to offer and he’s got that Premier League experience which would be vital to a team like Leicester as they aim to beat the drop, whilst a return to Palace would certainly provide a huge boost to the fans and give the club another option in attack following the departure of Michael Olise.

Leicester conclude their pre-season preparations against Lens on Saturday before they host Tottenham in their first game of the season on August 19th.

Palace meanwhile play French side Nantes on Sunday before they travel to Brentford for their opening game of the season on August 18th.

Crystal Palace must match Wilfried Zaha’s wages at Galatasaray if they are to complete a sensational loan deal according to reports.

Zaha left Palace on a free transfer last summer to join the Turkish outfit and went on to win the league with the club.

However, it appears after just one season in Turkey he could set for a shock return and a third spell at Selhurst Park.

Zaha to rejoin Palace on loan

According to The Evening Standard talks are ongoing between the two clubs over a possible loan deal and reports in Turkey have suggested the winger is available.

The report adds that if Palace are to complete the deal then they must match his current wages, which are thought to be in the region of £170,000 per week as Zaha expects to earn to the same amount of money.

Wilfried Zaha in action for Galatasaray.
Zaha could be in line for sensational return to Crystal Palace.

Galatasaray reportedly want to receive a £9m loan fee to cover the Ivorian’s wages and if financial terms are agreed they are thought to be happy to let the winger leave.

Zaha rejected a club record £200,000 per week deal as Palace tried to convince him to stay at the end of the 2022/2023 campaign, but the 31-year-old decided to go to Turkey despite also having offers from Saudi Arabia and Italy.

The Ivory Coast international scored ten goals and provided five assists in 43 appearances in all competitions for the Turkish giants last season and is somewhat of a club legend at Palace having had two previous spells there.

The winger has played 458 games for the Eagles and scored 90 goals across his two spells at the club.

Palace have already added a winger in Ismaila Sarr this summer, but a loan move for Zaha could make sense and it’s one that will no doubt delight the fans and go some way to softening the blow of losing Michael Olise.

Crystal Palace are interested in Chelsea outcast Trevoh Chalobah as a possible replacement for Marc Guehi if he leaves the club according to reports.

The Eagles are facing a tough task to keep hold of the England international who is attracting strong interest from Newcastle.

Oliver Glasner’s side have already lost Michael Olise to Bayern Munich and won’t want to lose another key player with start of the season drawing ever closer.

Palace interested in Chalobah as possible Guehi replacement

The interest in Guehi has naturally lead to Palace thinking about how they would replace him and The Telegraph have reported that Chalobah is of interest along with Wolfsburg defender Maxence Lacroix.

Chalobah has seemingly been exiled by Chelsea after being left out of the squad for their pre-season tour of America and the Blues are said to want around £25m for their academy graduate.

Chelsea are back in London now so possible movement on Chalobah’s future could gather pace before the season starts, with the defender said to want a move to a club with European football.

Chalobah is set to leave Chelsea this summer.

The 25-year-old is currently training with Chelsea’s development squad and that will reportedly remain the case following the club’s return from America.

Chalobah, who rejected a move to Nottingham Forest last summer has four years left on his current deal and is reportedly not in a rush to take a decision on his future.

Lacroix could be a more attainable option given he’s only got one year left on his contract and there’s the added bonus that he’s worked under Glasner previously.

Palace have been busy in the market and have made some good signings following a strong finish to last season which secured them a top ten finish.

Ismaïla Sarr, Daichi Kamada and Chadi Riad have all joined the club and a few more quality signings could see Palace make a real push for European football next season.

Crystal Palace have completed the signing of Ismaila Sarr from Marseille for a fee in the region of £12.6m.

Sarr returns to England after just one season in France and has penned a five year contract at Selhurst Park, which sees him become Oliver Glasner’s third signing of the window.

The 26-year-old will help bolster the attacking ranks at Palace following the departure of Michael Olise, and he’s the second attacking reinforcement after Daichi Kamada’s arrival on a free transfer from Lazio.

Palace complete Sarr signing

It’s been reported that Palace have been long term admirers of Sarr, who spent four years at Watford and they have now finally landed their man.

Sarr is predominantly a right winger, but he can also play on the left and through the middle, with that versatility likely to appeal to Glasner as he looks to rebuild the Palace attack following Olise’s move to Bayern Munich.

The Senegal international said he was delighted to be at the club and that he’s going to work hard on and off the pitch for the team and the fans.

Sarr has completed his move to Crystal Palace from Marseille.

“I am very happy to be here because Crystal Palace is a great club,” he told Crystal Palace’s website.

“Thanks to the coach and the Sporting Director they told me about their project, and I accepted because it is a good project.

“I am going to work hard on the pitch and off the pitch for the team and for the fans as well.”

Glasner added that he’s pleased Sarr will join the group and highlighted that at every club he’s been at he’s proven he can score goals.

“We’re happy that Ismaïla has decided to join Crystal Palace because he knows the Premier League when he played at Watford, he knows living in England, and he also had many games with Marseille last season,” he added.

“In every year, in every club where he was, he’s showed that he can score goals. He showed it as well in the national team for Senegal, so we are really pleased that he will join our group.”

Glasner made a huge impact last season as he guided the Eagles to a top ten finish after he replaced Roy Hodgson, and with a few more quality signings  they could very much be a team to watch next season.

Leicester City are eyeing up a move for Crystal Palace forward Jordan Ayew according to journalist Alan Nixon as they continue to strengthen the squad ahead of the new season.

It’s not been the easiest of summers for the Foxes who have lost manager Enzo Maresca and star player Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall to Chelsea.

The Midlands outfit have subsequently appointed former Nottingham Forest boss Steve Cooper as their new manager and have now made a number of signings as they bid to ensure they beat the drop next season.

Leicester eye move for Ayew

So far the Foxes have signed Caleb Okoli from Atalanta, Bobby De Cordova-Reid from Fulham and Michael Golding from Chelsea whilst winger Issahaku Fatawu has made his loan move from Sporting Lisbon permanent.

However, if the Foxes are going to stay up they are going to need further reinforcements and they have been linked with a new attacker.

Ayew has been linked with a move to Leicester.

With Kelechi Iheanacho set to join Seville, Leicester are in the market for a replacement and Nixon has reported the Foxes are going to make as move for Ayew, who briefly worked under Cooper when the pair were at Swansea.

The 32-year-old is in the final year of his deal at Selhurst Park and Nixon has claimed it won’t take a huge bid from the Foxes to prize Ayew away.

Ayew would add much needed Premier League experience to the squad, but he’s not exactly a prolific goalscorer, and only found the back of the net four times in 37 appearances in all competitions for Palace last season.

The Ghanian has scored 23 goals and provided 22 assists in 211 appearances for the Eagles and it’s almost certain his time at Selhurst Park is coming to an end.

Leciester are currently going to be relying on 37-year-old Jamie Vardy for the goals to keep them in the league whilst Patson Daka hasn’t had the desired impact following his arrival from the club.

Manchester United have drawn up a three man shortlist which includes a former Chelsea star, as they look to sign a new left back according to reports.

After a slow start to the window United have completed deals for Joshua Zirkzee and Leny Yoro, whilst they are also in talks over moves for Manuel Ugarte and Matthijs de Ligt.

The Red Devils are looking to strengthen a squad which finished eighth in the Premier League and more additions will be required if they are to get back into the Champions League next season.

United draw up three man shortlist for problem position

Defensive reinforcements have certainly been United’s main priority and they could still sign another centre back despite already landing Yoro.

The Old Trafford outfit are also looking to strengthen at both left and right back with Tyrell Malacia no closer to returning from a long term injury, whilst Aaron Wan-Bissaka only has a year left on his contract and is expected to leave.

Luke Shaw is United’s first choice left back, but there are also doubts surrounding his long term fitness, despite playing for the first time since February at Euro 2024.

Marcos Alonso in action for Barcelona.
Alonso is a surprise name under consideration as United look for a new left back.

The Mirror have reported that United have drawn up a list of three targets as they look to solve their problems at left back.

The report adds the names under consideration are David Hancko of Feyenoord, former Chelsea ace Marcos Alonso and Crystal Palace’s Tyrick Mitchell.

Alonso is certainly a surprise inclusion , but he could be a smart signing given he’s a free agent and has Premier League experience, whilst there’s the chance of a cut price deal for Mitchell given he’s only got one year left on his contract.

The Mirror add that United tried to sign Alonso last year, but couldn’t make a deal happen and they eventually settled on a loan deal for Sergio Reguilon, which they cut short in January.

Malacia’s knee injury must be cause for concern for United given he didn’t feature at all last season and has been sidelined for 14 months.

Crystal Palace have been handed a boost in their pursuit of Marseille winger Ismaila Sarr with the French club open to a sale in order to fund a move for Arsenal’s Eddie Nketiah according to reports.

Marseille have been targeting the Premier League in an attempt to strengthen their squad and have already signed Mason Greenwood from Manchester United and Pierre Emile Hojbjerg from Tottenham.

Palace are in the market for attacking reinforcements having lost Michael Olise to Bayern Munich and have identified Sarr as a prime target.

Palace handed boost in pursuit of Sarr

The Eagles had somewhat of a resurgence under Oliver Glasner over the second half of the season and the Austrian guided Palace to a top ten finish with some brilliant results along the way, including a 4-0 thrashing of Manchester United at Selhurst Park.

Sarr only joined Marseille last summer but it appears he could be on the move back to England after just one season in Ligue 1.

Ismaila Sarr in action for Marseille.
Palace are closing in on the signing of Sarr.

The 26-year-old didn’t make the biggest impact at Marseille as he scored five goals and provided six assists in 35 appearances in all competitions.

Fabrizio Romano has reported that Palace have offered €14m for the winger with €1m in add ons, and Sarr is thought to be close to agreeing a five year contract.

Mail Sport add that Palace could be handed a boost in their pursuit with Marseille believed to be open to a sale so they can fund a move for Arsenal forward Nketiah.

Sarr is no stranger to the English game having spent four years at Watford and he could be the latest addition to the Palace attack from the arrival of Daichi Kamada on a free transfer.

Palace are also interested in signing Emile Smith Rowe with Arsenal said to be open to selling the 23-year-old, and Glasner is keen to add to his attacking options, whilst the Eagles will be desperate to keep hold of England international Eberechi Eze.

Crystal Palace are facing a tough decision over Marc Guehi’s future with multiple Premier League clubs interested in the England international according to reports.

Guehi was one of England’s best performers at Euro 2024 as the Three Lions came up agonisingly short against Spain in the final.

The 24-year-old’s performances for England are likely to have increased his value, with Palace believed to want in the region of £65m for the centre back.

Palace face Guehi headache

Any potential sale would see Palace make a huge profit given they signed Guehi for £18m from Chelsea in 2021.

The likes of Chelsea, Liverpool, Tottenham, Manchester United and Arsenal have reportedly all shown interest in the past.

Palace will be desperate to keep hold of Guehi having seen Michael Olise leave for Bayern Munich, and Journalist Dean Jones has said that Chelsea and Liverpool are the ones to watch in the race.

Marc Guehi in action for England.
Guehi is attracting interest from a number of Premier League clubs.

“Arsenal, Man United and Spurs have all had an eye on Guehi since last year and his performances for England are going to cause Crystal Palace bosses a bit of a headache because his status has been on the rise this summer and it would be no surprise to see other clubs also having a look,” Jones told GIVEMESPORT.

“But, in turn, his value is going up too, so who is going to pay upwards of £60million for him in the coming weeks? They have every reason to expect £65 million for him in the current market.

“Chelsea and Liverpool are two clubs to pay some attention to as the player now refocuses and considers what he wants next in his career. His ambition will be heightened.”

Whilst Guehi would likely be a welcome addition at Stamford Bridge there simply isn’t space for him in the current squad unless someone departs, with Trevoh Chalobah the most likely candidate to do so.

A move to Liverpool would make sense given Virgil van Dijk’s future is unclear and they are also in the market for a replacement for Joel Matip.

Arsenal have rejected bids from Crystal Palace and Fulham for Emile Smith Rowe according to Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth.

It’s been a quiet transfer window for the Gunners so far as the club look to strengthen a squad that narrowly missed out on the Premier League title to Manchester City last season.

Mikel Arteta’s side are trying to wrap up a deal for Bologna’s Riccardo Calafiori but a fee between the two clubs seems to be a stumbling point, whilst several fringe players have departed the club.

Arsenal reject Smith-Rowe bids

Smith Rowe, who came through the Arsenal academy is a player this is expected to leave the Emirates this summer in search of more regular first team football.

Sky Sports reporter Sheth has stated that Crystal Palace and Fulham have had bids rejected for Smith-Rowe with discussions taking place at both clubs about whether to return with an improved offer.

He took to X.com and said:

“BREAKING: Arsenal reject bids from Fulham & Crystal Palace for forward Emile Smith Rowe.

“Discussions ongoing at both clubs over whether to go back in with improved offer.

“Smith Rowe wants to assess all options – regular first team football is primary motivation. #AFC #FFC #CPFC.”

The 23-year-old has been at Arsenal since the age of ten, and had a breakout season under Arteta during the 2020/2021 campaign, but injuries have severely limited his minutes over the past two yeas.

Smith Rowe is out of contract at the Emirates in 2026, but with a new deal highly unlikely, this summer represents the best chance for Arsenal to get the highest fee possible.

The academy graduate made 19 appearances last season in all competitions, but played a total of just 475 minuted and failed to find the back of the net.

A move to Crystal Palace could be exciting given what Oliver Glasner seems to be building at Selhurst Park with exciting players like Eberechi Eze and Daichi Kamada who has just joined the club this summer.

Now the Euros and the Copa America are over things should start to heat up in the transfer market as pre-season begins and the start of the season draws closer.
