Tottenham Hotspur are considering selling winger Manor Solomon this summer, with interest from three Premier League clubs.

According to TBR Football, Brighton, Leicester City, and Wolves have all expressed interest in signing Solomon.

While Tottenham are open to selling the 24-year-old on a permanent deal, the report suggests that an initial loan with an option to buy next summer is the most likely outcome.

The interest in Solomon is not limited to the Premier League. Clubs from Spain and Germany are also monitoring the situation, potentially setting up a competitive market for the winger.

Manor Solomon’s time at Tottenham marred with injuries

Solomon joined Tottenham on a free transfer from Shakhtar Donetsk but has struggled to make an impact at the North London club due to injuries.

A meniscus injury in his right knee kept him sidelined for much of the season, limiting him to just 198 minutes across five Premier League appearances, during which he managed to provide two assists.

Despite these setbacks, Solomon’s previous performances for Shakhtar, where he scored 22 goals and provided 9 assists in 106 appearances, make him an attractive target for mid-table Premier League clubs looking to bolster their attacking options.

Tottenham’s openness to a sale stems from the potential financial benefit. Since Solomon was signed on a free transfer, any sale would result in a pure profit for the club, which could be a motivating factor in their willingness to negotiate.

Tottenham could dip into the transfer market to sign a new winger as the North London club are open to sending Manor Solomon out on loan for the 2024/25 campaign.

According to Football Insider, Spurs are ready to accept loan proposals for the 25-year-old as the winger is not part of Ange Postecoglou’s plans for the upcoming campaign.

Solomon has taken part in Tottenham’s pre-season preparations coming off the bench in the Premier League side’s 3-2 win over Vissel Kobe as part of their tour of South Korea and Japan, however, the Israel international has not done enough to impress his Australian coach.

The winger has not played a competitive game for Tottenham in 11 months after suffering a serious knee injury at the start of last season.

Up until then, Solomon had played six games for Spurs in all competitions and even bagged two assists in a 5-2 win over Burnley.

The 25-year-old has a contract at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium until 2028 but it looks like the winger has no future at the London club. A loan move will help put the player in the shop window as the North London club’s plan is likely to sell the former Fulham star in 2025.

Tottenham may need to sign another winger this summer

Should Solomon leave, that could see Tottenham move for a new winger as the Premier League club have also allowed Bryan Gil to depart North London on loan to Girona during the current transfer window.

Postecoglou is not blessed with many natural wide players in his Spurs squad at present and it would be a smart move to bring in another.

Tottenham are currently focused on providing their Australian coach with a new number nine but once that has been completed, the North London side need to address the wide areas.

Shakhtar Donetsk are reportedly considering taking legal action against Tottenham Hotspur over the signing of Manor Solomon.

The 24-year-old winger joined Tottenham on a free transfer last summer as the North London club made the most of the war in Ukraine and snapped up the Israel international on a bargain.

During the war in Ukraine, FIFA allowed all non-Ukrainian nationals playing in the country to suspend their contracts and move to clubs abroad. Tottenham to advantage of the situation and signed the player back then.

Shakhtar chief Serhiy Palkin has now claimed that he has a bad feeling towards the North London club, because of the way they took advantage of FIFA regulation and signed the player. Palkin believes that Solomon had a market value of €25 million at the time. He feels that Shakhtar invested in the player and developed him into a quality performer, but they had to let him go without any return.

Palkin has now revealed to The Tepegraph that they requested Tottenham to include a sell-on fee of around 30-40% in his contract, but the North London club refused to agree to that either. Tottenham were reportedly willing to offer them a 10% sell-on fee.

“It’s very strange that everybody says we are one football family, when one of the top clubs receives a player free of charge and the market value of this player is up to €25 million (£21.15 million). We invested in this player and developed this player for this kind of value.

“I even said to Tottenham: ‘Guys, I don’t need money for him now. Let’s have some kind of sell-on fee in the future like 30 or 40 per cent. That would be enough for us.’ But they said: ‘No, no, we cannot give you. We’ll give you 10 per cent.’ I said: ‘Guys, that’s not serious.’ Giving us 10 per cent is not respectful. You behave not like the football family. You behave like a robber on the road. It’s not correct. Therefore, at this moment we will see the next steps”.

Shakhtar have now stopped negotiations with Tottenham and they will make a decision on whether to take legal action against the North London club in the near future.

Meanwhile, Solomon’s debut season with Tottenham was plagued with injuries and he barely made any impact. It will be interesting to see if he can bounce back strongly next season and establish himself as a key player for the club.

Tottenham Hotspur fans can breathe a sigh of relief as the club appears to be emerging from its injury woes, with no fresh concerns reported ahead of their upcoming league fixture against West Ham on Tuesday night.

Manager Ange Postecoglou confirmed in his pre-game press conference as reported by Football London that all regular players in the squad are in top shape, signalling a positive turn of events for Spurs.

However, the club continues to be without three long-term sidelined players: Manor Solomon, Fraser Forster, and Ryan Sessegnon.

While they haven’t been regular starters for the club, their availability could still provide a boost for the club.

Solomon, Sessegnon and Forster are still out with injuries

Solomon, who has been out since October last year due to a meniscus injury to his right knee, is showing signs of progress. However, it is unlikely that he will play for Spurs again this season with recent reports suggesting that the club will prepare him to be ready for next season instead.

Meanwhile, the backup goalkeeper Forster has been out of action since mid-February due to a foot fracture, and his return may not be expected until next month.

Sessegnon’s situation is particularly challenging, as he has been plagued by persistent hamstring injuries.

After an initial 11-month absence since February last year, the young talent made a return in February but suffered another setback, this time on the opposite hamstring, lasting only 37 minutes on the pitch before succumbing to injury once again.

He, too, is not expected to play for the club for the rest of the season.

Tottenham enter the final stage of the season and will need all the players fit to help them in finishing top four.

They are currently 3 points behind Aston Villa who occupy the 4th spot but they have a game in hand. Which means they can not afford any slip-ups.

It appears to be an accepted fact in football circles that negotiating with Daniel Levy at Tottenham can be a chastening experience.

The chairman of the North London outfit is notorious for playing hardball when it comes to both selling or signing players.

However, it appears that he may have gone too far with regards to talks conducted for Manor Solomon.

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has had a few home truths told to him

Now injured, Solomon won’t play again for a while, and Shakhtar Donetsk CEO, Sergei Palkin, has taken the opportunity to tell Levy a few home truths.

“Since October, we have been diligently engaged in negotiations with Tottenham. But finally, Tottenham has not acted in a manner that reflects the principles of fairness and equity. In this situation, we feel a sense of disrespect from Tottenham,” he said to ESPN.

“If you go deeply in my feelings during these months we have negotiated. Actually, we would like to appeal to Spurs chairman Daniel Levy to act in good faith and uphold the shared values of the European football family to find a fair way to compensate us in this transfer, what we are talking about.

“They offered something but it is not even serious what they offered. It is something like peanuts to show they are ready to give something but this is not comparable with what they received. A club like Tottenham cannot behave like this. It is a top, well-known worldwide club and to behave like they are doing is very strange.”

Tottenham are accused of disrespect over the transfer of Manor Solomon.

It isn’t clear if Palkin’s broadside and arguably his intention to try and embarrass the Lilywhites will have the desired effect, or whether Levy will double down.

Solomon isn’t exactly caught in the crossfire, though he’ll surely not want to have to field any awkward questions.

From Spurs’ point of view, it’s important that the player is given the right care and attention and is back as soon as practicable.

Whether he’s able to have more of an impact than he has to this point will only be known if he’s given the chance to impress by Ange Postecoglou, something that hasn’t happened to date.

Spurs have confirmed Manor Solomon has recently undergone surgery.

The Israeli forward, who joined the London-based club last summer, has been sidelined since the end of September after injuring his right knee.

And updating fans on the forward’s current status, Spurs, via their official X account, have confirmed Solomon, 24, recently had surgery on his right meniscus and that his rehabilitation will continue.

Spurs injury news: Manor Solomon return unknown following knee surgery

Solomon has endured a hugely unlucky debut campaign since he joined on a free transfer from Shakhtar Donetsk and is unlikely to feature again this season while he recovers from a serious medical procedure.

Spurs have confirmed Manor Solomon has undergone surgery on his knee.

The former Fulham loanee will now be focusing on being fit enough for the club’s pre-season tour of Asia.

In the meantime, although Postecoglou has a wealth of wide-attacking options, including Richarlison and Son Heung-min, the Aussie will still be missing Solomon.

The 24-year-old has yet to score for Spurs, but his Premier League record while on loan with the Cottagers last season suggests he is more than capable of contributing to Postecoglou’s push for Champions League qualification.

Ange Postecoglou reported yesterday that summer signing Manor Solomon has suffered a setback in his recovery.

He was scheduled to be back playing earlier this month and was even ahead of James Maddison in terms of a return but while the England midfielder is back, there is no sign of Solomon.

Injury expert, Dr Rajal Brar, has now explained that the player has had his meniscus repaired, but there have been some complications with his recovery.

Speaking to Tottenham News, he claimed that the latest setback will now see him miss another month of action.

He said:

“He had a meniscus injury to his knee and based on timeline, has the meniscus repaired.

“I don’t put too much stock into initial timelines, especially for injuries with extended absences, so the timeline being pushed out initially didn’t surprise me that much.

“However, he’s suffered a setback from what is a complicated recovery.

“I reckon he’s likely to be out for another month.

“It’ll take him some time to get back to training as well.“

The 24-year-old suffered an injury during training back in October which has forced him to miss 16 games so far this season.

The young attacker had to undergo a surgery and has been in the process of recovery since.

He was signed back in the summer on a free transfer after impressing at Fulham but has been extremely unlucky with injuries.

Ange Postecoglou takes his Tottenham Hotspur side to Kenilworth Road on Saturday lunchtime, as his high flyers get set to take on struggling Luton Town with a place at the top of the Premier League table at stake.

With table-topping Man City not playing third-placed Arsenal until the final match of the weekend, Spurs could sit proudly atop the English top-flight for at least 24 hours – and maybe more if the Gunners and the Cityzens play out a draw.

You wouldn’t bet against the latter because luck certainly appears to be on Postecoglou’s side at present.

Injury time wins against Sheffield United and Liverpool have helped propel the Lilywhites into second place in the table, and along with Arsenal they remain the only teams in the division to be unbeaten after seven games.

They’ve relied on the creativity of James Maddison and the goalscoring prowess of Son Heung-min to help them achieve such a solid start, and as football.london report, Son has not been at 100 percent recently.

With Manor Solomon adding to Spurs’ recent injury woes, there’s a need to keep Son as close to match fitness as possible, whilst studiously managing the amount of time he spends on the pitch in order that he can get back to full fitness quickly.

Therefore, he’s likely to play some part in Saturday’s game but it’s unlikely to be a full 90 minutes.

Tottenham Hotspur have been dealt another major injury blow.

According to leading journalist and CaughtOffside columnist Fabrizio Romano, Manor Solomon is the latest name set for a prolonged spell on the sidelines after the Israeli forward recently suffered a meniscus injury in training.

The unfortunate injury, which damages the knee’s cartilage, is one that often occurs when a player twists their joint the wrong way (NHS England).

Adding yet another bad injury to his growing list of casualties, manager Ange Postecoglou, who recently discovered Ivan Perisic will miss the season after injuring his ACL, will need to find a way to provide cover for the former Fulham loanee.

Although it remains unknown exactly how long Solomon, 24, will be out for, it goes without saying that he is going to miss a large chunk of the season.

Not expected to return until at least Christmas, the 24-year-old will miss several important Premier League clashes including November’s London derby against Chelsea and December’s potential top-of-the-table tie against Manchester City

Tottenham have received a blow in the build-up to their clash with Luton Town at the weekend as one of their forward players has suffered a serious injury in training.

According to talkSPORT, winger Manor Solomon is set for an extended spell on the sidelines after suffering a knee injury this week. The 24-year-old could be out of action for up to three months, which is a blow to Ange Postecoglou considering his squad is not the deepest.

The Israeli international has played six times for Spurs this season, providing two assists against Burnley back at the start of September, and came off the bench during the North London club’s controversial clash with Liverpool on Saturday.

Tottenham signed Solomon in the summer for free and gave the winger a five-year contract at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. This came after his loan spell at Fulham last season, where he scored five goals in 24 appearances in all competitions for the Cottagers.

The transfer was a smart one from Spurs as it gave them some squad depth at a very low cost but that depth has now thinned with the Israel star’s injury.
