Scoring in other leagues does not mean they can score in the Premier league. Spurs were found out with Soldaldo and Janssen. While Solanke may not be a marquee signing, he is home grown and have Premier league experience. The same with Toney. The rest are a gamble risk.
Personally, Solanke is not my choice as he is way too expensive but if Ange wants him, I can go along with him.

Spot on Pez. We have weeks of the usual Levy propoganda and like mugs we swallow it.
Then the season starts and we end up with 3rd or 4th choice players.
Ange will be gone by Christmas as Levy fails to adequately back him. The youngsters are good but we need 3/4 Premiership players with experience in addition to what we have.
Solanke wouldnt even be my 4th choice to be honest but Bournemouth want 60 million and Levy wants to bid £42.5!!!

For me, Solanke NOT worth the money that Bournemouth want. I’m NOT sure about Toney’s worth or “background” either. Maybe Jonathan David although unproven in the PL. Cjhiesa I’m NOT sure about either.

I would’ve agreed on the Levy comments b4 Ange joined,not now,with Munn Lange+Ange controlling transfers.I’m not convinced about Solanke,Toney would suit but the one I really want is Kyogo.He scores goals in ANY league he’s been in+fits AngeBall.

Great Point! there’s no real quality centre forwards around, they all think that if you have a good season then everyone now think your a great striker, proper strikers has atleast 3 years consistently been scoring 20 plus!
I think personally we should go for Jonathan David of lille, proven goal scorer, and a no brainer for that price.

Does anyone seriously consider Solanke to be a marquee signing? Or in the mould of a truly quality player capable of filling HK’s shoes. I’m sorry but for me this smacks of the usual surrounding speculation of genuine quality and then followed by the disappointment of an atypical Levy-esque compromise, leading finally to ensuing disappointment amongst long suffering and disenchanted fans. Nothing really changes at Tottenham, not when we have a chairman who will always settle for second best.
